Yesterday, the NHL Central Scouting published their final ranking for the upcoming Draft in Montreal. And there's some surprises...

Let's begin with the obvious : Shane Wright is first on the North American list. Juraj Slafkovsky is number one on the International list. But one thing that is very interesting is that Joakim Kemell is in front of Simon Nemec and David Jiricek. They are both considered as the best defensemans available at the Draft.
But here's the good news : some teams are relying a lot on those rankings and can pass on some players that have better potential. It is the case here with Kemell. He is obviously a great prospect, but he has been hyped a lot lately because he played very well during the U18 World Hockey Championship.
The Flyers are going to probably select 5th, and there's a possibility that a guy like Jiricek could slip to this position if teams decide to rely more on the Central Scouting rankings. If yes, Chuck Fletcher will have to select him. He's too good, and he would fill an organizational need.

With that being said, Philadelphia will have the possibility to draft a very good player that will help the franchise for years to come. And that alone is a great news.
Here's the Top-5 players in North America :
1. Shane Wright ; 2. Logan Cooley ; 3. Cutter Gauthier ; 4. Matthew Savoie ; 5. Conor Geekie
Here's the Top-5 players on the International list :
1. Juraj Slafkovsky ; 2. Joakim Kemell ; 3. Simon Nemec ; 4. David Jiricek ; 5. Marco Kasper
