According to Anthony Di Marco, the Flyers are reported to be flip-flopping between Simon Nemec and David Jiricek. Both of whom are tall, mobile right handed defencemen.
With just mere hours to go before a talented rookie joins the Philadelphia Flyers, the team's management group is still unsure about who they will pick at number 5.
Brandon J. Sommermann on Twitter also alleges that the Flyers and Blue Jackets may be working on a trade that would send the 6th overall pick (CBJ) and an asset to Philly for pick number 5.

"PHI like both top defenseman in the draft, seems CBJ have a preference & may be willing to send an asset PHI way to get first choice."
However, Sommermann thinks that the indecision is more related stylistically than having a preference.
"How they were to described to me by a scout was one is a defender fit for any style and the other you create your style around."
David Jiricek is Elite Prospects' top defensive prospect heading into this year's draft in Montreal. But if Fletcher cannot make his mind up between the two, letting Columbus make the decision while regaining an asset is not a bad idea.
