The Flyers lied about the attendance at Wells Fargo Center yesterday

Two days ago, a great news was announced as fans were no longer required to show a proof of vaccination to enter the Wells Fargo Center.

Some argued that it was going to have an impact on the attendance at Flyers games, but it didn't. Even if the Flyers say the opposite...
According to official numbers, yesterday the Wells Fargo Center was filled at 88.1% of maximum capacity (16 886 seats) during the game between the Flyers and the Capitals.

But really, the eye test completely showed that it wasn't the case.
This picture was taken at 8th minute of the first period by Jamey Baskow.
I know, they announced this number because the reality is that they sold 16 886 tickets for the game. But they should also say that it wasn't the number of fans in the stands. The problem is, as longs as they continue to sell this amount of tickets, nothing really is going to change, even if the organization recently announced that they won't increase the 2022-23 season ticket prices for all non-premium seats in both the lower and upper bowls.
