The Flyers must try this before throwing the towel with Ivan Provorov

The big question heading into the summer in Provorov's case is the following one : will he be traded at one point during the offseason? It's a real possibility. Chuck Fletcher is looking to improve his team, and if he feels that he can do so by trading Provorov, he will certainly do it.

Do not forget that there was tension between the defenseman and the management during the season, according to multiple reports. So where do we go from there?

Before throwing the towel in his case, the Flyers must see what he can do with Ryan Ellis as his partner on defense. There seemed to be a good chemistry between those two guys during the team's training camp at the end of the season, and very early during the campaign.

This duo has really the potential to be a good first pair for the Flyers. If you don't try it out, you'll never know. Fletcher will have his hands full this summer. Each decision that he will take will have an enormous impact.
