Do you remember when the Lightning was in big cap trouble last year but still found a method to keep their team intact? Well, they used something called the LTIR.
After their first Stanley Cup win, Nikita Kucherov had a big injury and was put on the LTIR. If this hadn't happen, the Lightning would have been forced to make a trade because they wouldn't had enough cap space to put Kucherov on the team.
Well, the Golden Knights are doing the exact same thing. And some people are beginning to say that the NHL should maybe reconsiderate the LTIR cap exception.

Problem solved for the Golden Knights!
Do you think that the NHL should change the rule ?
