Ever since replacing Canadiens former General Manager Marc Bergevin, Kent Hughes has done a marvelous job especially being a first time GM.

Hughes has been strategically rebuilding the Canadiens after having their worst season in franchise history last year. Hughes has made some significant moves including drafting Juraj Slafkovsky first overall, along with bringing in Kirby Dach and most recently stealing Sean Monahan.
However, It looks like Hughes isn't finished making moves just yet with just over a month till the regular season begins, According to Bleacher Report, don't be surprised to see the likes of Christian Dvorak and Jake Allen moved between now and the start of the season, which is just over one month away.

They write:
"Dvorak, 26, is under contract through 2024-25 with an affordable average annual value of $4.5 million. He also lacks no-trade protection this season, giving Hughes a wide number of possible trade partners to work with. The Canadiens GM is under no pressure to move Dvorak, but the center could be the best trade asset to address his blue-line needs."
The veteran backup Allen has also seen his name come up in trade rumors throughout the summer, and was even linked to the Vegas Golden Knights when it became clear that starter Robin Lehner would miss the entire regular season after undergoing double hip surgery. However, no such deal materialized. And with the revelation that Carey Price may also be on the shelf this season, don't be surprised at all to see Allen stick around in the Montreal crease for at least one more season."

The new looked Canadiens open the regular season schedule on October 12 at Bell Centre against their Original 6 rival Toronto Maple Leafs.
