Ivan Provorov has been making headlines in the NHL recently, as reports suggest that he could be up for grabs in the trade market. The 26-year-old defenseman has reportedly expressed his interest in moving to a new team. However, despite this, the Flyers are in no hurry to let him go, as he remains an important player for the team.

It's believed that the Flyers would consider trading Provorov if they receive a good offer that meets their expectations, this is sourced by The Fourth Period. They have set high standards for Provorov's trade value and are looking for a deal that is similar to the Mattias Ekholm and Jakob Chychrun trades. While they may not receive exactly the same offer as these two defencemen, the Flyers will not settle for anything less.
Despite Provorov's less than impressive performance over the past 26 months, the Flyers are confident in his abilities and are comfortable holding onto him. Throughout the season, he was the team's No. 1 defenseman and Head Coach John Tortorella holds him in high regard. The Flyers don't feel like they "have" to trade Provorov and will only consider offers that meet their expectations.

It's believed that the Flyers are interested in obtaining an additional first-round pick in the upcoming NHL draft in June. Provorov could be the team's best chance at achieving that goal, aside from Carter Hart and Travis Konecny.
Provorov, who has two years left on his contract with an AAV of $6.75 million, remains a hot topic in the NHL trade market. Only time will tell if he stays with the Flyers or moves on to a new team.
