It seems that Danny Briere highly values Scott Laughton, as he has stated that no one is exempt from the rebuild. Laughton is a key player for the Flyers, having been given an Alternate Captain patch for his leadership skills, thanks to John Tortorella.
Despite this, there is a lot of interest in Laughton due to his impressive performance in the past year.
Flyers declined late 1st rounders for Scott Laughton before, maybe throwing Robertson into the mix sweetens the deal enough though.
I know Robertson (21) isn't exactly an NHL-level player and would be a hard sell but the Flyers want to be younger.

In fact, Briere reportedly turned down an offer for a late 1st round pick for the center.
Although Laughton has already been traded by his friends on Nasty Knuckles(jokingly to the Toronto Maple Leafs), it appears that fate is on his side as Briere was not willing to move him for two 1st round picks later in the draft.
This seems like an honest overpay, which is right up Briere's alley.
So, what could be causing the hold up? Could John Tortorella have nixed the trade?
