However, the talks with the Sharks for an extension didn't began, and his recent declarations could indicate that he'll sign with another team this summer.
Basically, he said that he wanted a fair deal for both sides, but didn't want to make a fake promise by saying that he will sign with the Sharks.
"If we make a deal here, it will be fair for both sides. This is still my home and (I'm) fighting, (giving) everything I got for this team and we will see what happens in a couple of weeks," said Tomas Hertl.
