The Winnipeg Jets have found their new head coach

Several weeks after leaving the Dallas Stars, Rick Bowness found a new job, as he was hired by the Winnipeg Jets as their new head coach. Of course, Jets' fans would have wanted to see Barry Trotz behind the bench, but this isn't a bad hire.

Bowness showed that he could very well lead a team, as he went to the Stanley Cup Finals with the Stars in 2020. The question is the following: with multiple players wanting to go out of Winnipeg (Pierre-Luc Dubois and Mark Scheifele), it doesn't seem like the Jets will be competitive next season.

Experience was key in the Jets' hiring decision for their next head coach.
