Head coach John Tortorella decided to put Frost in the press box for the bulk of this early part of the season. With no points through six games and no indications of wanting to change or improve, it seems less likely that Frost will be on the roster and may be looking at a change of scenery shortly.
He was drafted in the first round, 27th overall in 2017. Last season, he scored nineteen goals for 46 points. After a quiet negotiation, Frost landed a two-year contract extension worth 4.2 million dollars, which has a cap hit of 2.1 million. If Frost goes on the trade market, his cap hit is certainly tradeable.
