This is the player that the Flyers need to build around

With already 39 points this season, the Connecticut native is having a good season. What Cam Atkinson brings to the Flyers is crucial, he scores, he assists and furthermore he brings his experience to the locker room and guidance to the younger players. He is the veteran Philly needs to build on.

He proved his worth once again during Saturday's game against the Capitals, scoring the winning goal and providing the assist for Giroux's 11th second opener.

For a first season, in a club that has been performing badly, Atkinson is one of the team's «untouchables». If he manages to be more consistent, he will be on his way to a 50-60-point season. We can only hope that Fletcher finds the right players to pair him with and the Flyers will have a solid top-6 forward that they can compete with.

Cam Atkinson, possibly Chuck Fletcher's best addition to the team, is a player to watch.
