Today, reports have surfaced saying Flyers prospect Morgan Frost may not be an untouchable piece as the team enters a new era. Frost, 22, was drafted 27th overall in the 2017 NHL draft but is yet to cement himself as a regular with the team. In instances like this, a change of scenery may be exactly what he needs.

Brandon Sommemann from the @BrotherlyBully on Twitter said this:
«Hearing Flyers Morgan Frost name pop-up a lot in recent trade chatter. Belief is that Frost isn't "off-limits" & is available in right trade. Which says a lot about how the PHI front office views the once top prospect of its franchise.»
Anthony Di Marco, from The Fourth Period, chimed in with this interesting stat.
"This coming June, it will be five years since Morgan Frost was drafted. By that point in his career, Brayden Schenn had already scored at a 40+ points pace over 82 games in two separate seasons and had a 20 goal season under his belt».

He continued,
«If you believe in Frost eventually becoming an impact, top six player (like Schenn) that is well within your right. But it is just as reasonable to be heavily disappointed with Frost's development/play given all the hype surrounding him after a very strong career in the OHL».

However, comparing the two would be unfair to Frost as Schenn was taken 5th overall by the Kings in 2009 and had a consistent developmental regiment.
Certainly at this point in the season, we can assume that GM Chuck Fletcher would prefer not to have Frost moving up and down the NHL and AHL every second week. Frost has 2 goals and 5 assists in 30 NHL games played this season.
Perhaps another team with a struggling prospect in need for a change in scenery could help out.
