This young Flyers defenseman has been going through very tough times lately

Let's be clear.

The end of the campaign will allow the management to see which young players are NHL ready or not. Noah Cates looks really great and has a good chance to begin the season with the big club in October.

Even if Bobby Brink has some improvement to make on his skating, he is NHL caliber. There's no doubt about it.

However, the same can't be said about Ronnie Attard. Since his debut with the Flyers, the young defenseman just isn't good enough for the moment and he will probably need some time in the AHL next season in order to come back stronger.


It was extremely difficult for him last night, as he finished the game with a minus-5 rating, which was the worst on the team.

Attard has a great potential, but he needs to work on his game. Things are just going too fast for him...
