In a recent appearance on the Spittin Chiclets podcast hosted by former NHL player and current TNT TV personality Paul Bissonnette, 2022 NHL draft third overall pick Logan Cooley spilled the beans on some significant details regarding the Philadelphia Flyers' draft plans that year.
Cooley revealed that he had a positive meeting with the Philadelphia Flyers before the 2022 draft commenced. According to him, the Flyers requested a meeting just 20 minutes before the draft was set to begin. Cooley's interpretation of this last-minute meeting request was that the Flyers were exploring options to trade up to the third overall pick in order to select him.
However, things didn't go as planned, and the Flyers ultimately decided to stay put at their original fifth overall pick.
