Top Women's Player Gets Severely Injured During Boys Tournament

Nela Lopu�anová, who made her debut at the world championship last year, has emerged as a highly promising female prospect globally and has been performing impressively at higher levels of competition. However, during a recent under 16 boys championship match, she was the victim of a vicious blindside hit by Dominik Halaj, as recorded on video.

Towards the end of the second period, Halaj skated across the rink and collided with Lopu�anová, causing her to soar through the air. While her teammates rushed to support her, Halaj received a two-minute minor penalty for charging. Despite making a comeback in the third period, Lopu�anová was knocked down again and suffered a significant wrist injury within the first five minutes of play.

After that blindside hit, I don't wanna say she was targeted this game, but it sure seemed like it to me.
In the last boys' match Nela Lopusanova suffered a fractured wrist. Treatment time 6 weeks.
