Trade between the Golden Knights and the Ducks delayed for a VERY weird reason

So, that's a weird situation to say the least.
Yesterday, the Vegas Golden Knights and the Anaheim Ducks completed the following trade :
The Golden Knights needed to trade
Evgeny Dadonov in order to make some space on their salary cap. However, things didn't go as planned.

The deal was delayed because the NHL didn't have Dadonov's original no-trade list, which included the Ducks.
According to Greg Wyshynski, Dadonov's no-trade list wasn't brought up during the trade call by either team or the NHL.
Dadonov did indeed filed his no-trade list (10 teams on it) before the due date last year. He was then traded from the Senators to the Golden Knights on July 28th. Frank Seravalli said that the Golden Knights claimed that they didn't receive the list.
This seems a bit odd. You can see that Dadonov has an NTC on CapFriendly.
Anyways, that's a weird situation...
