Travis Konecny Sets a New Best Season-Start Under Head Coach John Tortorella
In tonight's contest against the St Louis Blues, Konecny went 1G, 1A, he was a +1 and had 16:59 in ice time. Here's the link below for Travis' goal to make the game 2-0. He received the puck from a great pass by Owen Tippett and rifled it past Griess!
Even with his hot start, Travis has felt the wrath of Torts and was benched in the third period along with Kevin Hayes during the 3-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks a few weeks back. Torts wants to continue to keep his players in check and hold accountability for their play. In my view this will bode well for their players and hopefully continue their great start to this young season.
After tonight's win, The Flyers are now 7-3-2 with 16 points and will be on the road to face the Columbus Blue Jackets on November 10th.
