Earlier this week we reported on the unfortunate fire that destroyed the Villa of Boston Bruins Defenseman Hampus Lindholm.

The fire occured in his second home in Sweden where Lindholm had been renovating it this off-season. As you saw from the photograph on the cover on this article, the home suffered considerable damage as a result of the fire that it's been considered a total loss.
The only good that occured was, Lindholm was not home at the time aswell as anyone else with no Injures reported during the time of the incident.
"I was not at home and no one was in the house. It was my alarm system that sounded the alarm and I had to rush home," said Lindholm

"A house is a house, it is only material and no one has been injured."

Although Lindholm has downplayed the loss of the home, considering he had renovated the villa this has to be a major headache for the talented Swede. At the time the fire department deemed the fire suspicious thinking Lindholm could of been a victim of arson.
"Authorities do appear to have some theories as to what could have started the fire, although it does not appear a conclusion has been reached. Law enforcement has reportedly started an investigation into possible arson, while another theory is that a battery charger that was plugged in could be the culprit. We will likely have to wait for the investigation to be concluded before we get a more concrete answer regarding the nature of the fire."

Lindholm however isn't worried about any of that, and is instead grateful that he nor anyone else wasn't injured or the fire spread to other homes.
"I don't know anything about the reasons and don't want to make a big deal out of it," said the Bruins defenseman. "The main thing for me is that no one has been hurt, my father and mother live nearby. I am grateful for all the support I have received, the Boston Bruins have reached out and offered their help. Those are things that mean something in a situation like this."
