Claude Giroux finished his first game as a Panther with 2 assists on Thursday night in Montreal. Yesterday, Florida visited Ottawa and things didn't start as expected for Giroux's teammates.

At one point in the match, the Panthers were losing 3-0. However, they finished by winning 4-3 in overtime. The former captain of the Flyers was even named the 3rd star of the game as he picked up 2 assists.

In the Western Conference, the Oilers lost 9-5 against the Calgary Flames, as Derick Brassard scored his 2nd goal in as many games with his new club.
