The Flyers finally decided to adopt the offseason strategy and to play their young talents even if that means losing games. The Flyers will likely be eliminated from reaching a playoffs spot in the next few games so it's better for Mike Yeo to give some ice time to see the level of Philly's youngest acquisitions.

Flyers signed Noah Cates (23) on Friday, Ronnie Attard (23) today and Bobby Brink (20) is likely to sign a contract with the Orange & Black when he finishes his season.
With this strategy, the Flyers will be looking to grab some better picks for the draft, but they now have a 7.6% chance of getting the 1st pick and a 7.9% chance of getting the 2nd.

It's more likely that they will end up with the 6th or 7th pick of the 2022 draft. The prospects that are expected to be on the draft board at these positions are both European wingers. According to McKeen's Hockey scouting director, Brock Otten, the 6th, and 7th picks are Joakim Kemell and Juraj Slafkovsky.
Kemell is a right winger, 5»11» and 175 pounds. He plays for JYP in the Finnish league where he managed to score 23 points in 39 games. Kemell has an amazing shot, powerful, with quick hands and quick feet. He was on his way to his best season ever if he was not injured.
Slafkovsky is a 6'4'' left winger, weighting 225 pounds. He's more powerful and has the potential to dominate the ice, even at the NHL level. He combines speed and strength but has been less prolific than Kemell with only 10 points in 31 games in Finland's Liiga.
Whichever is picked, it's a good acquisition for the Flyers who desperately need fast offensive players. Will one of those play at the Wells Fargo Center next season?
