Who will Take Claude Giroux's Place As The New Captain Of The Flyers?

Going 25-46-11 finishing in last spot in the Metropolitan Division and seeing Captain Claude Giroux who was the longest-tenured captain in Flyers history be traded at the deadline.

Now the million dollar question is who will replace or try to replace maybe the best captain in franchise history?

There are viable options for the captaincy. Sean Couturier, Scott Laughton, Cam Atkinson, James van Riemsdyk and Kevin Hayes have been the most picked as the most likely batch of potential choices.

However this isn't just a easy choice as the player that is selected will become the 20th Captain in franchise history.

One player that comes to mind as maybe in my opinion the right choice is Sean Couturier. He's currently the longest-tenured Flyer playing in 721 games for the Flyers and is a very well respected player.

However, if you want to go with a star as captain you gotta go with Cam Atkinson who I'm predicting will lead the Flyers in goals and possibly even points. Fun fact Atkinson will reunite with Flyers new Head Coach John Tortorella who coached Atkinson in Columbus.
