The Philadelphia Flyers are currently in a rebuilding phase, which requires them to acquire assets and prospects to move the team forward to contention.

This could potentially mean parting ways with some of the team's favorite and best players to accumulate assets.

One proposed trade involves moving Carter Hart and Joel Farabee, who are considered two of the Flyers' better players, in exchange for Owen Beck, Oliver Kapanen, Justin Barron, and two 1st round picks.

The return would be significant, including top-end talent like Owen Beck, projected to be a 2nd line Center in the NHL, and Oliver Kapanen, with a top 9 projection due to his rough game and unreliability.
Justin Barron's addition to the team would help strengthen the thin defensive corps, as he is projected to be a top-four defenseman in the NHL, possessing great physicality and all-around play.
The acquisition of 1st round picks would significantly increase the chances of acquiring a franchise-changing player.
While bidding farewell to both Hart and Farabee may be painful, hypothetically, this trade isn't far-fetched as it would provide substantial benefits to the team in the long run.
