With all that being said, a player who shows up every shift and gives it their very best trying to make the best play possible is in need of more time on the ice (TOI). In an awful outcome to a hopefully season, Zack MacEwen was one of the hardest working players and never saw higher than a 3rd line shift. Right now, I think MacEwen earned more minutes last season and even going into this one.
Forechecking is an important part of the game and is needed. You get a guy like Zack and when he starts to throw the body around, it will cause players to fluster and lose the puck. Capitalize on the chance and take advantage of turnovers, something the Flyers lacked tremendously last season.
