"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher announced another contract buyout on Sunday. Just a little while after buying out Andrew McDonald, Fletcher has bought out another defenseman. The Flyers placed defenseman David Schlemko on waivers for purpose of buyout.Schlemko was acquired in the trade with Montreal last year that sent Dale Weise and Christian Folin packing. The move is interesting as it will save the Flyers $1.2 million in cap space this year but will cost them $600K next year. We'll wait and see what Fletcher is up to tomorrow.
