"The Philadelphia Flyers are in Pittsburgh tonight for a big matchup against the Penguins. Both teams are stuck in the middle of the MassMutual East Division with the Flyers holding fourth place with 25 points and two games in hand on the Penguins who sit in fifth with 23 points. Lately it's been pretty much the same result for both teams as the Flyers are 6-2-2 in their last 10 while the Penguins are 6-4-0. However the two teams got opposite news today with good news for the Flyers and bad news for the Penguins. The Flyers will get Travis Konecny back tonight as he's been activated off the COVID list, while he's struggled at times this year and was even a healthy scratch he's got eight points 12 games which includes five goals. On the other end of the ice, the Penguins got some bad news as Sidney Crosby was placed on the COVID list and will be out for tonight's game. We'll have a full look at lineups after head coach Alain Vigneault speaks to the media.
Coach Sullivan on Crosby: ""Sid will not be available for tonight's game. He will be listed on the NHL's COVID protocol list. We didn't have a morning skate this morning due to the NHL's COVID protocol.""
