"Yesterday the Flyers and general manager Ron Hextall announced that Alex Lyon had suffered a ""lower body injury"" and will be out at least four weeks. It's bad news considering the Flyers luck regarding goalies over the last decade and it looks like we could have another ""lower body injury"" between the pipes. According to Bill Meltzer, Michal Neuvirth left the ice this morning during practice. He states that Neuvirth looked to have possibly pulled his groin before slamming his stick to the ice and leaving the ice. While nobody wants to see anybody get injured, the stars could be aligning for everybody's favourite prospect, Carter Hart. More to come.
Neuvirth was bent over, stretching groin for a long time, slammed stick and walked off, spoke briefly to Sal Raffa and Jim McCrossin. He is now leaving the ice. — Bill Meltzer (@billmeltzer) September 21, 2018
