BREAKING Flyers Hire New Assistant Coach.

"While rumblings continue to indicate that Comcast would like general manager Chuck Fletcher to blow up the roster, Fletcher continues to look like he wants to build the Philadelphia Wild. With Mike Yeo, Fletcher's former head coach in Minny, currently the interim head coach after firing John Tortorella, Fletcher has brought in another former Wild coach. According to Jordan Hall of NBC Philly, the Flyers have hired John Torchetti as assistant coach. Torchetti worked with Fletcher in Minny and actually took over for Mike Yeo in Minny when Yeo was let go. He's also coached for the Detroit Red Wings and has been around the AHL along with a stint as CSKA Moscow head coach in the KHL. More details to come.

He worked in Wild organization under Chuck Fletcher and Brent Flahr.
He took over for Mike Yeo in interim duties during 2015-16.
