The trade deadline is just days away and talks, rumors, and social media buzz ramps up hour by hour as teams are making a last chance effort to make the finishing touches to what they hope is a Stanley Cup worthy roster. For Flyers general manager Danny Briere, his first trade deadline as GM is proving to be a complicated one as the Flyers are drawing interest from many teams while also being a playoff contender as they sit third in the Metro Division.

For the past two months, what seems like half of the NHL has been interested in acquiring the Flyers defensemen pair of Nick Seeler and Sean Walker who are both having the msot successful year of their careers while also on relatively cheap, expiring contracts.
As the Flyers inch closer to the deadline, it now seems that Briere is not going to be so willing to give up Seeler and Walker, especially with the way the team in playing as of late.
On Tuesday, the Flyers learned that fan-favorite Nick Seeler won't be sidelined very long as he blocked a shot in Monday's loss that caused him to miss some time in the locker room. Not only will the Flyers have Seeler around for the remainder of the season as they make a push for the playoffs, but it is also being reported that the Flyers are engaging in long-term contract talks with Seeler.

According to Ellitotte Friedman, if any Flyers defenseman is going to get moved, Walker has a better chance of getting dealt than Seeler, although it seems like most-likely the Flyers are going to keep both and even try to give extensions to both.
Friedman did give Flyers fans a little nugget of hope as he hinted at the Flyers 'kicking the tires' on trading for Anaheim Ducks young star Trevor Zegras, who already has a close relationship with Flyers defenseman Jamie Drysdale.
On Monday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman mentioned that the Flyers had «checked in on» young and skilled Ducks forward Trevor Zegras, who has been the subject of some trade speculation lately. "

If Seeler or Walker were included in a trade for Zegras, would it make sense for the Flyers to pull the trigger and land a top offensive talent?
