"It has gotten to the point where the folks at the Western Hockey League are just going to have to rename their Goaltender of the Week award the Cart Harter award.
For the fifth straight week of league play (not counting the time off for the World Junior Championship) Hart has been named the WHL's Goaltender of the Week. In his two starts this past week, Hart had two wins and gave up just one goal on 49 total shots. His 25 save shutout on Saturday night was the 25th of his career, one shy of the Everett Silvertips franchise record.
Hart continues to dominate the WHL as he leads the league in save percentage (.958), goals-against average (1.35), and shutouts (6).
Since November 19, Hart has won five WHL Goaltender of the Week awards and a goal medal with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship. Not a bad run!
