Chuck Fletcher Comments On Joel Quenneville.

Huge news broke out this weekend that the Philadelphia Flyers had fired head coach Dave Hakstol and replaced him with Joel Quenneville. No official announcement was made and about 30 minutes after the report blew up the internet, Quenneville denied the report stating it was totally false. Later that day the Flyers stated that Hakstol was their coach.That statement was reiterated on Monday morning with the Flyers stating Hakstol was their coach, until practice apparently. Hakstol didn't hit the ice and it was announced that Hakstol was fired and Scott Gordon would take over. During his press conference general manager Chuck Fletcher was asked about Quenneville. Fletcher said that he hasn't asked for permission to speak to Quenneville from Chicago and hasn't spoke to Quenneville at all in over two years. He stated that he expects Gordon to be the team's head coach for the rest of the season.
