After a lowly 2016-17 season where he only registered 58 points in 82 games, Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux had a huge bounce back season in 2017-18 season. Giroux ended up setting career highs with 102 points and 34 goals and despite the Flyers struggles has kept it up this season with 52 points in 48 games. While Giroux has kept the momentum rolling from last year, the team hasn't as they look far off from the playoff team they were last year. However Giroux still believes the team can get themselves back into some post season action. "I believe we're going to make a push."
A lot of that has to do with rookie goalie Carter Hart. "You don't see a lot of goalies that are 20 years old and they come in this fast," said Giroux. "For him to get called up and do the things that he's doing right now, it's obviously not a circumstance that we wanted to happen. We had a few injuries for our goaltenders, but for him to come in, play the way he is right now, it's pretty amazing."
