Fluyers captain Sean Couturier has recently expressed both understanding and disappointment on the fact that he is being scratched by Head Coach John Tortorella in the upcoming game against Toronto.
"Sean Couturier was visibly frustrated with the healthy scratch, but kudos to him, he said he'll put his ego aside.
He said he's frustrated with how he's been treated. Said he's trying, putting the work in."
Couturier has officially gone on record in regards to how he feels about the situation. Here is what he had to say on the matter: "I've been putting the work in for a while. I've been struggling, but I've been working on my game, and it's frustrating the way I've been treated around here lately. But it is what it is."
All that is left to do is to see if this decision ends up paying off for the Flyers at such a crucial time in the season, or if it falls flat and does the opposite of Tortorella's intention.
Couturier believes he has been mistreated by his organization, and this sentiment may possibly spill over into the rest of the team and their mindset.
