Flyers captain has had a strange past month as he was a healthy scratch for two games which caused a lot of speculation. Now, he is dealing with an upper-body injury after getting hurt last game.
Although it has been a rough past month, there was some positive news announced early this morning, Couturier has been nominated for the Bill Masterton trophy this season.
Sean Couturier is voted by @ThePHWA 's Philadelphia chapter as the Flyers' nominee for the 2023-24 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
The award is given annually to the NHL player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to ice hockey."
The Bill Masterton trophy is given to the player who best exemplifies qualities of dedication to his team.
Clearly Couturier may have had some struggles this season but he is still a great leader and captain for the Flyers.
