The Philadelphia Flyers were expected to make a push for a couple of free agent head coaches this offseason, however the possibilities are getting shorter for the team. Joel Quenneville was apparently on the top of the Flyers list, however he chose to join the Florida Panthers as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Another name we heard linked to the Flyers was former San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers head coach Todd McLellan, however according to various reports he'll be joining the Buffalo Sabres with the Los Angeles Kings trying to steal him without the deal official yet. One of the other names we heard attached to the Flyers a lot was Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau because Chuck Fletcher hired him in Minnesota. The Wild missed the playoffs and many expected the team to fire Boudreau however the team has confirmed he'll be back next season. It's looking more and more like Scott Gordon will be back next season.
