Keith Yandle made a tremendous NHL career out of being a tough, hard nosed defenseman. Yandle had a long career spanning almost two decades, playing 17 seasons with his last season coming as a Philadelphia Flyer in 2022. Yandle is now transitioing into media life and quickly becoming a personality for the famous "Barstool Sports." On Wednesday, Yandle made a shocking revelation on a podcast, revealing his old school mentality.

On Wednesday, Yandle went on the famous 'Pardon My Take' podcast on Barstool Sports and gave an in, depth, lengthy interview on the current NHL season and it was actually a tremendous interview by Yandle.
The funniest, and perhaps most interesting part of the interview was when Yandle spoke about his stance on advanced stats and analytics, saying he has never owned a computer in his life.
"I hate it. I know nothing about it. I probably wasn't a great analytic guy either but it also doesn't contribute to the good times in the locker room or on the road. I honestly couldn't even tell you what an analytic even is."

Yandle does in fact have a point in his statement. Analytics are great but to use them as a full proof measurement for an NHL team or player does not tell the full story often times.
What is to be learned from this? Keith Yandle, not an analytics guy.
