In a season filled with disaster on and off the ice, every little bright spot matters. That's what we've got today. The Philadelphia Flyers announced that forward Derick Brassard will return from injury tonight. Brassard hasn't played since Novemeber 23 and he'll be eased back into the lineup as he'll start tonight's game on the fourth line beside Patrick Brown and Zack McEwen. Brassard has 11 points in 17 games so far this season. Head coach Mike Yeo added that along with letting Brassard get comfortable again, he wanted to see if last night's top three lines could build a bit of chemistry building off of last game.
