Philadelphia Flyers general manager held his end of year press conference and there was plenty to talk about. It looks like Hextall has already made some big decisions regarding the upcoming offseason. Hextall stated and made it very clear that he will not re-sign Matt Read, Johnny Oduya and Brandon Manning. Oduya comes as no surprise as the 37 year old was claimed off waivers and was pretty much just a depth move heading into the playoffs. Read started off with plenty of potential, but was never able to live up to his contract and became a guy who could barely crack the lineup after being touted as one of the biggest college free agents. The most surprising of the bunch is Manning. The 27 year old defenseman has struggled at times but shows plenty of upside considering he doesn't bring a huge salary cap hit. He shouldn't have trouble finding a job during the summer.
