Not only is the annual NHL Stadium Series a tremendous opportunity for fans to see their favorite teams and players on the national stage in an event that sheds light on some of the most unique cities and stadiums in North America, but it also provides a great opportunity for the players. Being able to play on that stage, in front of a crowd that is three times the size of a normal NHL crowd, wear special uniforms, and also connect with their families.
For the Philadelphia Flyers, players and coaches made sure to soak up every single moment of the weekend, regardless of if they win or lose. The Flyers recognized the opportunity and handled the weekend with grace.
After the Flyer released a special behind-the-scenes look at Stadium Series weekend, it was clear that the teams favorite part of the weekend was being able to unite with their families and share in a special moment during the family skate.
The Flyers were able to bring their families out on the ice in MetLife Stadium, and skate around and spend time with each other and also immerse with their teammates families.

Cam Atkinson was mic'd up in the Flyers latest video, taking fans behind-the-scenes through the Friday before the Stadium Series as they participated in practice and a family skate.
The most heartwarming part of the video was Atkinson taking his daughter around the ice, holding her in his arms while she is crying, and comforting her and turning her tears into smiles.
Moments like these truly put into perspective the human element of sports and gives fans a different perspective into their favorite team.
