"The Philadelphia Flyers welcomed back a key piece of their team on Monday. After missing all of the 2019-20 season including the bubble playoffs, Nolan Patrick was back on the ice as a full participant in Flyers' practice. There was plenty of speculation on why Patrick missed the full season, however the Flyers revealed that was because Patrick was dealing with severe migraine issues that run in his family and aren't related to his concussion history. Skating on a line with Travis Konecny on Monday, it definitely looks like Patrick is ready to go and will have a key part in the 2020 season. After practice he spoke to the media about being back on the ice with the team. ""I guess [it feels like a milestone]. I've been scrimmaging. But it feels good to be out there. ....Not going to get into too much detail on how my head feels."" ""Mentally tough whenever you are injured. But I feel good today, and I am excited to be out there.... Was obviously great being out there; nice being back with the guys.""It's day by day for the 22 year old. ""See how camp goes and go from there.""Do you think Patrick is set for a major role with the Flyers after a year off?
AV: Patrick has gone thru whole protocol medically. Wanted to get in a couple scrimmages first. But he is cleared for contact. — Bill Meltzer (@billmeltzer) January 4, 2021
