Being a sports fan, especially in the city of Philadelphia, is a full time commitment. Many fans not only spend much of their time watching games, following on social media and scrolling the internet for countless updates and content to bring them closer to their team, but fans also spend their hard earned money to support the team whether it's through ticket sales, merchandise, or team hosted events. Flyers fans are among the most passionate in the NHL and this season the organization is set out to honor some of their most dedicated patrons.

For the past five or so seasons, Flyers fans have not had much to cheer about. From losses on the ice, not reaching the playoffs since the covid bubble in 2020, a regime change that saw a general manager and coaches fired, and seeing their long-time captain traded in 2022, Flyers fans have gone through suffering during this rebuild.
One of the missions that Danny Briere and Keith Jones were set out to accomplish when named front office heads in the summer of 2023, is to restore the pride in the fans and also show that the organization is putting their fans first.
The team has shown that countless times this season, from not only putting a winning product on the ice, but also doing thing for the fans off the ice. From not increasing the price of season tickets to being open and honest with their fans during the Cutter Gauthier trade chaos, Briere and Jones have re-instilled that passion within Flyers fans.
On Friday, the team announced that this season, fans can be nominated for a 2023-24 Fan of the Year Award, where fans can win tickets and many other prizes.
"This season we're crowning the Flyers Fan of the Year! Tell us how yourself, family member or friend have been the biggest supporters of the Orange & Black for the chance to win a pair of 2024-25 season tickets and more."

Through a link on social media and the teams website, Flyers fans can nominate family, friends, or any person in their community they feel embodies the definition of being a Flyers fan with a short application.
