Last night's situation surrounding Flyers coach John Tortorella and NHL official Wes McCauley became quite well known across social media. The media uproar shows a video of Tortorella being ejected from their recent game, but refusing to leave the bench as he didn't agree with the verdict after challenging a referee.

Torts didn't want to leave the bench after being ejected.
The Flyers seemed to be unanimous regarding their disagreement with Tortorella's ejection, as a few members of the organization had something to say on the matter; "I don't know if he really deserved to get kicked out, honestly, after what he said, he didn't say much." said the Flyers' Captain Sean Couturier. He was clearly shocked and confused when his coach received the ejection.
Brad Shaw had this to say after taking over for Tortorella following his leave on Saturday night's game: "I think he was just trying to make the point we might not be getting a fair shake. It's an emotional game at times. It's part of the game."
Tortorella has yet to receive any form of further punishment for his actions, other than the unfortunate timing of being recognized for his young lead to victory after winning the Stanley Cup in 2004 on this very night. His actions could have proven to be too aggressive, or can be attributed to the great deal of emotions coursing through him considering the special night taking place.
The head coach has been met with both positive and negative criticism because of his actions. Fans are cut down the middle with some saluting the coach and his strong beliefs, while others have referred to his outcry as "over the top" and "too emotional". Tortorella and his team now patiently await any further discussion regarding a punishment or lack thereof.
