The trade deadline day clock continues to tick down as we are under a week left before 3:00 PM on Friday March 8th. General managers across the league including Flyers GM Danny Briere are working the phones and trying to find a possible deal that could make their teams better.

As for the Flyers, it's been stated numerous times that the team is not set to be buyers in this deadline which would mean they are sellers. During a press conference after the Flyers win against the Ottawa Senators, a question was posed to head coach John Tortorella about the status of shopping Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler.
Currently, sealer is at the highest Trade value he has ever been in his career. He has bought into Tortorella's system and has shined brightly which have caused numerous teams to call the Flyers and see on his availability. Several teams including the Toronto Maple Leafs have a desire to add a defenseman like sealer to give them that grit and snarl they're looking for.

Seeler, has played 62 games, scored one goal with 11 assists for 12 points and is a + 15.
Since Torts is the coach and not the general manager, it's likely out of his hands if a deal falls into their lap that they cannot pass up on. There's also the possibility that he could be sign next year as he is an unrestricted free agent In which the Flyers would recoup an asset from the other team and keep their player into next year.
I doubt they are actively shopping him as I feel the Flyers are willing to re sign him however, they need to do their due diligence and see what the market will dictate, and it appears that defenseman in this deadline is at a high cost.
