"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher have been giving the Flyers a huge facelift. The majority of the changes have taken place on the blueline and Fletcher isn't done on the backend as he has to also do something between the pipes. Brian Elliott won't be back with the Flyers so Fletcher has to find a backup or 1B beside Carter Hart. According to Pierre LeBrun, Fletcher's target plays for the Arizona Coyotes. LeBrun reports that the Flyers are engaged in trade talks to try and land Coyotes' goalie Darcy Kuemper. The Flyers along with the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers are all in the mix. The 31 year old is in the final year of his deal which carries a $4.5million cap hit and registered a 2.56 goals against average and .907 save percentage last year while dealing with injuries.
Five teams that I believe have shown varying degrees of interest in Arizona's Darcy Kuemper (one more year at $4.5M): Colorado, Philadelphia, Toronto, Carolina, Edmonton. The Avs it depends on what happens with Grubauer and Oil would need to lose Koskinen@TSNHockey @TheAthletic
