Report: Flyers Preparing For Blockbuster Trade.

"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher shocked a lot of people earlier today with a roster move. Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere was placed on waivers at noon. Of course while it was surprising, he hasn't exactly fit in under head coach Alain Vigneault and has been a healthy scratch. At first thought it was simply because the Flyers aren't happy but now it seems they might be preparing for something else. According to Flyers insider Sam Carchidi, the Flyers are preparing cap space for a major deal. This would make a lot of sense as the Flyers desperately need something to happen. An interesting story to follow over the next couple of hours/days.
