Report: Simmonds Blocked Trade To Calgary.

The Wayne Simmonds drama continues. As we approach the 3PM EST deadline, Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher continues to try and move the forward. We've heard that Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher's demands for Simmonds are scaring away other teams, but he's pushing on. Earlier today on Sportsnet we heard Calgary Flames VP of hockey operations say the team had a pretty significant deal on the table last night that fell through last minute. According to some sources, that deal was actually possibly for Simmonds, however Simmonds used his modified no trade clause to block a trade to Calgary. This could be a big reason why Fletcher is having a tough time moving him combined with his demands.
