Flyers forward stated in an interview what he believes it takes to succeed in Philadelphia as the young forward had a great season with the Flyers.
Last off-season, Poehling bet on himself taking a one year $1.4 million contract in hopes of proving he can play in the NHL. Poehling did exactly that as the Flyers gave him a two year contract extension in January.
Poehling stated in an interview that he chose Philadelphia because it felt like the right move and he knew if he worked hard and played the way he knew he could that opportunities would present themselves.
«There was a lot of opportunity here and my gut was telling me to come to Philadelphia,» Poehling continues to speak highly of his first full season in Philadelphia. «For me it's pretty easy if you just come to work and have a good attitude, and let the chips fall your way, trusting God's plan.»
The 25 year-old forward had a great season with the Flyers hitting career highs in points, goals and assists with 11 goals, 17 assists for 28 points in 77 games with the Flyers.
