The Philadelphia Flyers have now lost eight games in a row and haven't won a game since December 23rd of 2018. Despite putting up some shots and scoring three goals, the team still lost the game 5-3 to the Washington Capitals last night. The second period has become a real headache for the Flyers as they've been outscored 15-1 during their eight game losing streak and 54-29 during the season. Head coach Scott Gordon believes a lot of it is just a seed that's been planted in the players heads. "I think the biggest thing is you're looking at there's a lot of things going on in a lot of heads," he said before the game. "Sometimes it's your own personal success and failures. Sometimes it can be contracts. Sometimes it can maybe be who you're playing with on any given night but to me it's not so much about systems because that's one thing I did when I came here. I didn't want to overload them with a bunch of changes." Maybe it is time for some changes though....
