"The Philadelphia Flyers have been stuck in the mud for over three weeks now having lost nine straight games since beating the Chicago Blackhawks back on November 9. One of the hot topics over the past few days is the issue of Dave Hakstol breaking up the top line of Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek.

The Flyers top line has provided 32 of the Flyers 70 goals this season and the line leads the entire league with 23 5v5 goals. However, Hakstol doesn't feel the he needs to "distribute the wealth" just yet.

"You gotta look in the short term here," Hakstol said on Friday, per Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post. "I think Fil's line with Raf going there has been an effective line. (Nolan Patrick) and (Wayne Simmonds) have been together and you're gonna see Jordan Weal there as you have the last couple of days in practice. That line has all the pieces to be an effective line. Those are things that we've liked."

Some will argue that you should have your top three scorers playing on the same line, while others will say it is up to the other three lines to step up their game and provide some additional offense. If Hakstol does decide to break up his top line, Voracek will not put up a fight.

"We haven't been split up this year so I can't tell you how we'd react production-wise, playing-wise. It's tough to say," Voracek said. "It's a question for Hak. If he comes to us and we're gonna get split up I don't think any of us are going to say no."
