"Earlier this morning word got out of a scary incident at Philadelphia Flyers' practice that forward Sean Couturier had to be helped off the ice during practice. It was unfortunate, especially considering word had just broke that head coach Dave Hakstol had Jakub Voracek reunited with Couturier and Claude Giroux. Couturier had to be helped off the ice from practice and limped his way to the locker room with trainer Jim McCrossin. The issue came after an open ice collision with defenseman Radko Gudas.
After practice both general manager Ron Hextall and Dave Hakstol said there was no update regarding the forward and captain Claude Giroux said it didn't look good. Video of the incident was just released by 6ABC, and while it's clear it was an accident, it looked so bad, almost like a massive hip check by Gudas. For some reason, the Flyers seemed to be running two drills in the same zone, which was not the smartest decision. Here's the video below:
#BREAKING Our @6abc video of @NHLFlyers star Sean Couturier going DOWN at practice today after colliding with Radko Gudas. He limps off with the trainer. Claude Giroux told me ""it didn't look good."" So far no update from the #Flyers #NHLPlayoffs2018 #EarnTomorrow pic.twitter.com/SlfplFKjUd
